Defining tag types for services, demand, service activities or team members tag types

tags are used to add extra information to services, demand items, service activities or team members. Think about tags as extra columns you add where you put extra information. The tag type is the name of the column (column header), the tags are the values in the column. Administrators define the tag types that can be used by users.

To add, edit or remove tag types click on the setup icon and click tags in the dropdown menu. Only users with administrator rights can see the setup icon

Add tag types

  1. Select service (or demand, service activity or team member) tag type in which you would like to create new tag type.

  2. Click add new tag type.

  3. Name it by entering a descriptive name.

  4. Choose to leave the tag type open (users can add tags themselves) or choose to create a predefined list of tags from which users have to choose a tag.

  5. Add tags by clicking add tag and entering the name. This is optional when you choose to leave the tag type open.

  6. Now you’re ready to work! Users can add (predefined) tags of the new tag type within demand, service, service activity or team member tag type.

After creating tags, the users can apply them on:

Edit tag type characteristics

  1. Select the tag type in the service (or demand, service activity or team member) tag type, which you like to edit.

  2. Edit! Change the name of the tag type and/or whether the tag type is open or not.

  3. That’s it! tag type is edited.

Remove tag types

  1. Select the tag type in the service (or demand, service activity or team member) tag type, which you like to remove.

  2. Remove! by clicking delete tag type and selecting delete tag type x.

  3. That’s it! The tag type is removed.

Remove tags

  1. Select the tag in the tag type, which you like to remove.

  2. Remove! by clicking delete tag and selecting delete tag x.

  3. That’s it! The tag is removed.
