Moving demand in a folder on the time axis

When you want to move all demand in a folder on the time axis, but keep the relative differences between the requested start and end dates, Binocs has a feature to help you do this fast.

Moving demand in a folder and set the earliest starting date

  1. Select the demand folder (or channel) you want to move on the time axis.

  2. Change requested start date of the folder in the demand detail at the right.

  3. Dates adjusted, relative differences between start and end dates are kept! If you add/subtract X days to the requested start date of the folder the following happens automatically:

    • X days are added/subtracted to the requested end date of the folder.
    • X days are added/subtracted to the requested start date of all demand items in the folder.
    • X days are added/subtracted to the requested end data of all demand items in the folder.

In other words: all relative differences between start and end date are kept as they were, but they are moved # days later/earlier.

Moving demand in a folder and set the ultimate end date

  1. Select the demand folder (or channel) you want to move on the time axis.

  2. Set requested end date of the folder in the demand detail at the right.

  3. Dates adjusted, relative differences between start and end dates are kept! If you add/subtract X days of the requested end date of the folder the following happens automatically:

    • X days are added/subtracted to the requested start date of the folder.
    • X days are added/subtracted to the requested start date of all demand items in the folder.
    • X days are added/subtracted to the requested end data of all demand items in the folder.

In other words: all relative differences between start and end date are kept as they were, but they are moved # days later/earlier.

This can come in handy especially when using templates.
